Hi! I’m Karen McAtlin. My husband, Curt, and I live in beautiful western Colorado with our two cats, Spazzie and Spooky. They’re sisters and don’t always get along.

Both Curt and I were born and raised in Colorado. We love our beautiful native state and want to share it with you! Curt was a roofing contractor for years but now works elsewhere, and I’m a historical romance writer.

I also attend online genealogy school and am working toward my credentials in American Records and Methodology.

Since we love to travel and do research for my books and genealogy, I decided to start a lifestyle and travel blog to share our travels with others.

We also bought a piece of land in western Colorado and plan to build on it in the future.

In the meantime, we live in a rental home but hope to get an RV trailer or fifth wheel sometime within the next few years for travel and to live on our land while we build a home.

These are some of the things I’ll be featuring on this blog. There will be cat tales about our cats’ latest adventures and who knows what else!

As we strive to live the life of our dreams, we hope to inspire others to do the same!
